Swinging Leideners

Hello all, so it’s November and many of us are having or are about to have exams soon. Well all the best with that! If you are stressed or just want to relax for an hour or two then I have something cool to share with you. A friend of mine has recently started a swing dance club here at Leiden. The idea is for people to come along on Saturdays for about an hour and learn swing moves from the resident expert(he’s called Josh) and what’s more the sessions are completely free! So far we’ve been meeting up at Lipsius at 16:45 on Saturdays but just for this coming weekend the class will be for an hour from 8 p.m.

I am certainly not a good dancer but do enjoy shaking a leg. Whether you are a pro or a beginner just come along for some fun. You don’t even need to have a partner as we all rotate during the session. Here are a few pictures from last week:

If you want to keep up to date with the schedule then please follow the facebook page for the swing club:

Also, this week’s session is advertised here:

If you want a taste of what swing is like then take a look at this Lindyfest contest:

Hope to see many of you there,

I don’t think you enjoy shaking any legs. Prove it.
