Leiden Discovery

Has anyone checked out this awesome app? I think the university has spent a good time promoting its use but seems like it has not received a lot of attention. Which is really a pity because it is really easy to use and most important of all it really tells you every bit of cool stories behind the tranquil town we are living in. When I first learned about Leiden the thing that struck me was the description that Leiden is the culturally richest town in Europe. I never fully understand and appreciate this until I read the information on the Leiden Discovery app. If you have not known yet, Leiden is absolutely amazing! It certainly has more than famous artist Rembrandt. So many wonderful things happened here in the past and I was in awe to get to know about all of that.

That said, this app is very useful for travelers who do not have a clear idea where to visit in Leiden. After downloading the app, you will get to choose between ‘Default route’  and ‘Personal route’, whichever fits your schedule and location more.

And then there are a few categories or “travel themes” that you can follow. I think “Culture” and the “Biology” categories are the two most fascinating.

All in all, even if you are not a tourist, I still strongly recommend this app to discover our lovely town and find out what more it has to offer us. Really proud to live in such a culturally rich place!
