4.5 Dansen bij Olivier
The Belgian café/ bar organizes a dancing night once a month, and these are notorious among the partiers of Leiden. If you’ve never been to one, this is your chance to go while the weather is perfect (dancing indoors during the summer heat with no air conditioning is not advised). Entrance is 7.50, and the minimum age is 21.

7.5- Efteling trip with ISN
ISN Leiden is organizing a trip to Efteling. For those of you who don’t know it. Efteling is a magical theme park close to Tilburg, and it’s a must-visit if you’re into amusement parks. Besides the rollercoasters, you can visit the main attraction- the magical forest, where you can watch fairy tales come to life (and no, it’s not just for kids. Although it is mainly aimed at them). If you hurry you might still be able to buy an early bird ticket for only 40€ (for ISN members. Price for non-members is 56€).

11.5- Plantenmarkt 
The Hortus Botanicus will organize an event where you can enjoy the spring weather in the gardens, while also shopping for special plants. In addition, there will be several tours and workshops* such as honey tastings, candle making, edible flowers tour, a Japanese calligraphy workshop, and more! Nature lovers, assemble!
* Sign-up is required for the workshops, some require an additional fee

11.5- Opening 444 cycle route 
In celebration of the university’s 444th birthday, a cycle route of 44.4 kilometers was created, and during the event, you can join the mass bike tour for free! All you need is to bring your bike and join the celebration. After all, you are a student at Leiden University, so you might as well join the birthday celebrations. Registration (for free) is required.

11.5- Archery Attack 
Are you a keen archer? Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to try it and never got the chance? Either way, gather your friends and come to the USC for the first all-student edition of Archery Attack! What is it you ask? I have no idea, but it looks really awesome, I promise! Price is 5€ p.p and you must come in a group of 3 or 6 people.

11.5- Cultural Festival 
The annual cultural festival is back, where you can explore and discover different cultures by trying local foods, music, dance and more! Participate in workshops, eat, drink, and have a great time with fellow students of Leiden University. Tickets are 6€ and include admission to a later afterparty.

9-12.5- LISFE (Leiden International Short Film Experience) 
The annual short film experience is coming back to Leiden to teach us more of other cultures, life experiences, and what’s really important. During the festival, different short films will be presented showcasing the upper crust and fringe, the glamour and grunge, of international cinema. An eye-opening experience is guaranteed.

16.5- Skills Event 
Plexus is organizing a Skills Event that is open to all Leiden University students. If you want to hear and learn more about the kind of skills that might be useful to your career (or your studies), take the opportunity and come! 17.5- 90’S NOW l Gebr de Nobel 
The event in Gebr de Nobel will feature a mesh up of all styles of the nineties. If you’re looking for some late-night fun and you’re a ‘90s fanatic- this is for you. Tickets are 12.90€.

18.5 Eurovision finals live screening | Gebr. de Nobel

18.5 Museumnacht 
The annual museum night is back in Leiden, where you can explore Leiden’s many museums. In addition to the 11 museums who open their doors, you can take part in workshops, lectures and music performances. Tickets are 14€.

24-26.5 Rrrollend Leiden 
Love food? Like hanging out with friends? Then this event is perfect for you! join Rrrollend (impossible to pronounce, I believe)- a food truck festival moving around the Netherlands. On the weekend of the 24th it’ll be stopping in Leiden for a few days of delicious food, drinks, and fun. The atmosphere is vibrant and cozy (if I can judge from last year’s) and if the weather is nice, there’s nothing better to do around!
